Job description

Job location: Balkans(Remote)

We are seeking a skilled CakePHP Developer to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex web applications using CakePHP. The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Composer. The candidate must be proficient in spoken and written English, and able to work in EST time zone Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain and enhance complex web applications using CakePHP

Write efficient, clean and maintainable code using PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS

Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met

Ensure the application is responsive and optimized for various devices and browsers

Troubleshoot and debug issues with the application

Ensure code is properly documented and reviewed

Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in CakePHP development

Requirements:

At least 2 years of experience in CakePHP development and at least 5 years of experience in PHP in general

Expertise in PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Composer

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

Knowledge of database technologies like MySQL and PostgreSQL

Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code

Familiarity with Git version control system

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

Ability to work remotely and collaborate with a team

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
