The Team:
The Unison team is looking for an accomplished associate to become an integral member of the legal team. With a keen interest in M&A and corporate transactions the general counsel will implement tools and processes that support strategic transactions. Reporting to the Managing Director, Legal, this key role will interact with executive leadership and the core business operations team. The ideal candidate will have the drive to independently see complex projects through to completion, while maintaining the flexibility and professionalism vital to succeed in a dynamic environment.
The Job:
· M&A transactions, structuring and restructuring operations and, in general, attending to Luxembourg corporate law matters
· Strategically advising executive leadershipon public takeovers, private M&A, ECM, complex joint ventures, disposals, and general commercial issues, and/or governance issue transactions
· Managing project delivery appropriately
· Drafting, reviewing and amending documentation
· Legal research
Required Education and Experience:
· Qualified lawyer, with 3-6 years of experience within Corporate M&A
· Strong technical knowledge of the legal framework surrounding M&A
· Sound experience of operating at associate level within a complex international organization
· Strong commercial/business acumen with the ability to deliver creative and pragmatic solutions and advice
