The Role

We are seeking a highly capable Consultant to join our Advisory Practice in the UK. This is a client-facing position offering variety, challenge, and the opportunity to contribute to high-profile strategic projects across the UK, North America, and beyond.

You will be responsible for supporting and delivering advisory projects—such as knowledge strategy development, KM solution design, AI-readiness assessments, data governance design, and operating model reviews. Working alongside senior Fireman colleagues and client stakeholders, you will gather business needs, assess requirements, and translate these into structured, actionable recommendations.

You’ll contribute both to client work and internal initiatives, including service development, business development, and market research. Your ability to bridge business and technology considerations, coupled with strong analytical and communication skills, will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support client engagements focused on knowledge strategy, data governance, AI enablement, and operating model design

• Conduct business needs assessments and gather functional and technical requirements through structured interviews, workshops, and stakeholder mapping

• Translate client requirements into clear, structured deliverables, including:

  • Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)

  • Functional Specifications

  • Process Maps and Workflows (e.g., BPMN/UML)

  • Metadata Models and Governance Frameworks

  • User Stories and Acceptance Criteria

  • Change Management Plans

• Develop client-ready presentations, reports, and documentation with a high degree of professionalism

• Facilitate workshops, focus groups, and stakeholder interviews

• Support agile delivery approaches, including backlog creation and sprint planning

• Contribute to internal development of Fireman methodologies, frameworks, and service offerings

• Stay informed on market trends, emerging technologies, and leading practices in knowledge, data, and AI

• Support business development, proposal writing, and thought leadership initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• 4–8 years of experience in business analysis, knowledge management, data governance, or related disciplines—in consulting, professional services, or internal project roles

• Proven experience in business requirements gathering, needs assessment, and process analysis

• Strong technical and business documentation skills, with a track record of producing clear, structured deliverables for clients and stakeholders

• Familiarity with business analysis methodologies, requirements elicitation techniques, and agile delivery frameworks

• Understanding of enabling technologies for knowledge, data, and AI, such as KM platforms, collaboration tools, AI/ML applications, and workflow/process automation tools

• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage workstreams and deliver to deadlines

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building abilities

• Curiosity, empathy, and a consultative mindset

• Business acumen and an appreciation of how knowledge and data drive value in professional services firms

• Willingness to work flexibly across geographies and adapt to client needs
