Key Accountabilities

  • Support and administration of MS Windows Server both on premise and in the cloud.
  • Design, support, and administration of MS Exchange server and Exchange Online.
  • Design, support, and administration of VMware ESXi & VCenter on premise and cloud - Azure VMWare Solution (AVS).
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Public DNS maintenance
  • Support Microsoft apps and services (Example: Office, SharePoint, Defender)
  • Support Microsoft Endpoint/Intune (including: endpoint security, AD connectors, configuring polices, etc)
  • PowerShell scripting knowledge.
  • Microsoft Licenses understanding and managing.
  • Server Hardware configuration and builds both on premise and in the cloud.
  • Manage solution design with 3rd party suppliers
  • Manage relationship with 3rd party suppliers, service health, SLA'S etc
  • Azure tenant administration - Subscription management, IAM, billing.
  • Azure Active Directory - AAD Connect, Identity and Access Management, MFA, Conditional Access
  • Azure Disaster recovery and Business Continuity - Azure Backup /
  • Azure Site Recovery
  • AWS tenant administration - Subscription management, IAM, billing, backup, cross regional replication
  • AWS resource management – EC2, S3, Cloud formation scripts, AWS file transfer, etc
  • An understanding of Cloud networking principles and related
  • Azure components (VPN / ExpressRoute, VNet topology, Azure Firewall, NSGs, Routing etc.)
  • laaS / PaaS monitoring
  • Infrastructure As Code (laC) - ARM templates and DevOps pipelines
  • Solution design and documentation
  • Cloud telephony skills.
  • Backup Software various - on premise and cloud. Cloud berry and Metallic preferable
  • SQL Server on premise and cloud.
  • Knowledge of other relational Data database systems preferable
  • Management of Exchange in Hybrid mode between on-premise and O365
  • Management of O365 including sharepoint, onedrive and Exchange
  • Work within strict change management structures to comply with standards.
  • Work with Helpdesk ticketing response system.
  • Maintain wintel inventory
  • Providing new/increased storage to LUNs, Physical & virtual servers via Netapp storage
  • Ensure completion and optimization of daily backups & test recovery
  • Ensure DR procedures and processes are followed, tested and kept up to date
  • Maintain, Improve & optimize documentation, processes and procedures within Infrastructure
  • Complete lifecycle and patch management of all Wintel infrastructure, ensuring supported and up to date, using WSUS.
  • Purchasing of server equipment and costing of cloud services as directed by Senior engineers or Infrastructure Manager
  • Create, submit and implement infrastructure changes in accordance with the Change Control procedure 
  • Be familiar with standard concepts, best practices and procedures with a particular field
  • Make effective use of existing and new technology to support and enhance global service delivery 
  • Work and cooperate closely with the global team of helpdesk support analysts 
  • To provide escalated support to any level of user whilst on-call
  • Assist to manage risks and track issues.


Knowledge 

  • Degree educated
  • Relevant MS, AWS, and Azure accreditations
  • Excellent level of technical experience in all aspects of IT infrastructure on premise and cloud

Experience

  • Azure and AWS certifications 
  • 3 years experience working for a global team in a similar role 
  • Experience in managing critical IT systems to an agreed SLA.
  • Project management and delivering IT projects to agreed timescales and budget.
Experience with dealing with all levels of management.
