Roles and Responsibilities:
• Take over technical lead, design, and review implementation.
• Guide developers to follow cloud development best practices.
• Provide domain expertise on public cloud and enterprise technology.
• Work with customers to design modern technical architectures and solutions that enable their business objectives.
• Be a trusted technical advisor and resolve technical challenges for customers.
• Act as a consultant and take ownership as a subject matter expert for a technical area, customers, or internal stakeholders.
• Understand customer issues and advocate for their needs with cross-functional teams like Product Management and Software Engineering.
Required Skills, Qualifications (Technical Competency):
• Hands-On with Azure technologies (IaaS, PaaS & SaaS) encompassing compute, networking, storage, security, and monitoring services like VNET, VMs, API Management, App Services, Storage Accounts, AKS, Databases (SQL/NOSQL), EventHub, Data Lake, Azure Active Directory, DNS, Application Gateway, API Management, CDN, Bot Framework etc.
• Designing Solutions in Microsoft Azure as per project specifications, experience with enterprise architecture and best practices for application and deployment architecture
• Application design and development knowledge, expertise for integration with downstream systems, API based architecture.
• Drive architecture and technical discussion to lead cloud security, privacy, and compliance decisions scale, performance, agility, HA/DR considerations.
• Deploy production grade cloud solutions on Azure with a framework supporting high performance, scalability, security, availability, and cost optimized.
• Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies like docker, Kubernetes, Azure offered containerization services.
• Experience with CI/CD based application development and IaC development using Pulumi/Terraform or Azure DevOps, monitoring with e.g., Prometheus/Grafana
• Experience with at least one of the SCMs like GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLabs etc. for versioning and code quality
• Configure and manage Azure cloud subscription.
• Must have azure cloud certification for architect level or equivalent.
