Job description

The Strategic Project Manager – Product, is a key role responsible for driving strategic initiatives, streamlining processes, and supporting the product leadership team. This position combines strong project management expertise with exceptional organizational and administrative capabilities to ensure product management excellence, efficient cross-functional collaboration, and alignment of product priorities with business objectives. The role requires a proactive, resourceful, and highly organized professional capable of managing multiple priorities, fostering team efficiency, and delivering successful outcomes.

This is a remote position.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Lead a proactive engagement model to ensure enhancements have clearly defined requirements, effective planning, and successful implementation, testing, and deployment
  • Partner with product leaders to coordinate communications, and prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and strategic planning materials
  • Streamline project intake and develop frameworks for prioritization management to align tasks with product objectives and business goals
  • Drive process improvement initiatives by assessing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing best practices to improve productivity and reduce errors
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless communication between product lines and stakeholders, reducing delays and improving delivery timelines
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, plans, status reports, and action items

 

Knowledge & Skills

  • Project Management Expertise: Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and deliver results on time and within scope
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management, planning, and coordination capabilities with a strong attention to detail
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Skilled in fostering teamwork and facilitating alignment across departments and stakeholders
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 and ability to quickly adopt new tools and project management solutions
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to represent leadership and product teams professionally.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Adept at assessing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing innovative solutions

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • 5+ years of combined experience in project management, executive administration, or operational leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success in managing projects, driving process improvements, and supporting executive leadership teams

 

PAY RANGE:

CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location.  Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors:  federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions.  Our ranges may be modified at any time.

For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.  The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.

Pay Range:  $90,589 – $140,359
