Backend Engineer, Senior (United States & Canada)

  • Rolespecific

    • 5+ years of professional (noninternship) experience as a backend engineer, preferably in the data engineering or cryptofinance domain. Experience in crypto is strongly preferred.

    • Have strong CS fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, system design, and distributed systems. Deep knowledge of backend technologies, including databases, orchestrators, messaging systems, data pipelines, and more.

    • Write highquality code, value software testing, and uphold best practices in engineering, security, and design.

    • Experience designing, scaling, and maintaining production systems, ideally within highgrowth or earlystage environments. or drawn to high growth stage startups.

    • Strong fundamentals with a cloud platform like GCP or AWS

    • Able to work effectively in a remote setting and able to overlap with our core hours of 9 AM to 12 PM PT 12 3pm EST

      • Scale our data ingestion platform to handle millions of blockchain and exchange transactions efficiently

      • Leverage AI technologies to automate our integration workflows

      • Build and maintain highquality blockchain and exchange integrations, ensuring performance, correctness, and longterm maintainability.Go deep into DeFi protocols to support complex transaction classification.

          • You don’t need to know any or all of these, but be willing to learn!

          • The starting salary for this position is between $175,000 $210,000 USD. Candidates location does not impact the posted salary range. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of jobrelated factors including relevant skills, education, and experience. This position also includes equity in CoinTracker and benefits like medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and PTO.
