Proposal Writer

Toronto, Ontario (Remote)

We're a fast-growing, 5-year-old STEM staffing firm helping some of the largest organizations in healthcare, technonlgy, banking/ finance and energy fill highly technical positions, globally. We're looking for an experienced Proposal Writer to help us fuel that growth and help continue the momentum we've expected so far. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Researching, identifying, and sharing relevant bidding opportunities where we may have a right to win
  • Working with our key account leads to understanding the drivers of our clients and how to successfully sell our services to them
  • Reading and understanding RFQs and RFPs to make sure we are responding to all requirements
  • Prepare outlines from RFPs and draft content for compelling bid submissions
  • Reviewing, editing, and writing our technical and marketing proposal content so its compelling, current, complete, and correct
  • Working with our graphic designer to create branded proposal graphics, such as covers, dividers, organization charts, flow charts, schedules, and more
  • Work with subject-matter professionals to gather content for proposal response
  • Apply writing and communication skills to other functions of the business
  • Lead and arrange kick-off meetings and ongoing review meetings with bid teams

Candidate Specification

  • Experience working in a recruitment and staffing agency 
  • 2+ years of experience in professional proposal writing
  • Motivated to take initiative, work independently, and manage a complex proposal process
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills that communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively
  • Comfortable engaging staff across our global business who may be supporting our proposals, as well as external teaming partners
