WHAT YOU’LL DO:

MGT is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Staff Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of customer accounts. The AR Staff Accountant plays a critical role in supporting MGT’s financial operations by building strong relationships with internal teams and external clients while maintaining compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and best practices.

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare and issue invoices in alignment with contract terms and billing schedules.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and proactively follow up to ensure timely collection.
  • Accurately apply customer payments and reconcile accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to billing, payments, and account balances.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of customer communications and payment status.
  • Support the month-end close process, including AR aging analysis and reporting.
  • Partner with sales, customer service, and cross-functional teams to resolve billing issues.
  • Provide audit support by compiling documentation and explanations related to AR activity.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • One (1) or more years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of AR processes and foundational accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks).
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a multi-entity or high-volume environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and automated billing tools.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance standards.
