Job description

The Labor Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing the scheduling, timecard processing, and operational logistics for oncall employees and clients. This role requires a unique combination of exceptional interpersonal skills, meticulous attention to detail, and logistical expertise to ensure seamless coordination of events and labor resources.

Job Responsibilities

  • Client and Crew Coordination: Promptly and accurately respond to labor requests from clients, schedule crew members, and communicate event details to both clients and the crew.
  • Timecard Management: Review and update event timecards within 24 hours of the events conclusion to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • OnCall Support: Serve as the first point of contact during oncall hours, addressing questions or concerns from clients and technicians.
  • Travel Coordination: Arrange and approve travel plans for crew members as needed.
  • General Support: Handle additional tasks and responsibilities as required to support the team and clients.
    • Requirements

      • Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of live corporate events and the roles of audiovisual technicians (e.g., audio engineers, video engineers, lighting technicians, stagehands, and camera operators).
      • Technical Proficiency: Proficient with computer programs, particularly Google Workspace (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Drive), and the ability to quickly learn new tools like Lasso event management software.
      • Organizational Excellence: Strong organizational skills with exceptional followthrough and attention to detail.
      • Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
      • ProblemSolving Ability: Ability to think critically and work independently while demonstrating a willingness to learn.
      • Numerical Aptitude: Basic understanding of math, particularly as it relates to payroll calculations.
      • Interpersonal Skills: High emotional intelligence and a curious, proactive mindset.
        • Preferred Skills (Not Required):

          • Prior experience in the audiovisual or live event industry.
          • Familiarity with Lasso event management software.
            • Minimum Technical and Work Environment Requirements:

              • Internet Connection:
                • Primary internet connection with a minimum speed of 15 Mbps.
                • Backup internet connection with at least 10 Mbps.
                • Backup connection must be capable of supporting work during a power outage.
                      • Primary Device:
                        • Desktop or laptop equipped with at least:
                          • Intel Core i5 (8th generation or newer), Intel Core i3 (10th generation or newer), AMD Ryzen 5, or an equivalent processor.
                          • A minimum of 8 GB RAM.
                                  • Backup Device:
                                    • Must meet or exceed the performance of an Intel Core i3 processor.
                                    • Must be functional during power interruptions.
                                          • A functioning webcam.
                                          • A noisecanceling USB headset.
                                          • A quiet, dedicated home office space.
