IP Engineer (RenoBased)

Job Responsibilities:

Network Design and Implementation:

• Design, implement, and maintain complex IP networks in the Reno area.
• Develop and execute network plans, considering factors such as scalability, security, and performance.
  
  

• Configuration and Troubleshooting:

  • Configure and optimize MikroTik routers, switches, and other networking equipment.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.
    
    

  • Security Implementation:

    • Implement robust security measures to safeguard the network infrastructure.
    • Stay updated on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities to proactively address potential risks.
      
      

    • Monitoring and Optimization:

      • Monitor network performance and analyze data to ensure optimal functionality.
      • Identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to achieve better efficiency.
        
        

      • Documentation:

        • Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
        • Create and update network diagrams, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
          
          

        • Collaboration:

          • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including IT support, system administrators, and security professionals.
          • Participate in project planning and coordination to ensure successful implementation of networking solutions.
            
            

          • Training and Support:

            • Provide training and support to junior engineers and other team members.
            • Assist in the development of training materials and documentation.
              
              

            • Qualifications:

              • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
              • Proven experience as a MikroTik IP Engineer or similar role.
              • Indepth knowledge of MikroTik RouterOS and related networking technologies.
              • Strong understanding of IP protocols, routing, and subnetting.
              • Experience in designing and implementing secure and scalable networks.
              • Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
              • Certifications such as MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA) and MikroTik Certified Routing Engineer (MTCRE) are a plus.
