Role Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer to lead and support our ongoing migration from a managed platform to a containerized, event-driven architecture. This role blends deep Azure expertise, hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience, and a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) mindset to help build scalable, secure, and observable infrastructure.
You’ll be instrumental in designing and deploying production-grade infrastructure using AKS, Terraform, and CI/CD best practices—while partnering closely with our platform, backend, and security teams.
What You’ll Do
- Lead infrastructure design and implementation for our Azure-to-AKS migration
- Define and manage Azure environments using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles
- Implement and maintain secure, scalable Azure resources using a Hub-and-Spoke network topology
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and repeatable deployments
- Support IAM configurations and manage SSO integrations using SAML assertions and OIDC
- Configure and optimize Azure services: Key Vault, Front Door, storage, and databases
- Enable and scale event-driven architecture using Azure Functions, Event Grid, and RabbitMQ
- Collaborate with engineers to guide architecture decisions, resolve tradeoffs, and enforce best practices
- Uphold SRE principles to improve system reliability, availability, and observability
What We’re Looking F
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles
- Proven success migrating systems to containerized environments, ideally with AKS
- Hands-on expertise with Terraform, CI/CD tools, and container orchestration
- Strong Azure knowledge, including:
- Hub-and-Spoke networking architecture
- Key Vault, Front Door, Event Grid, Azure Functions
- Database design and configuration tradeoffs
- Experience managing IAM and SSO configurations (SAML, OIDC)
- Familiarity with microservices, distributed systems, and messaging queues (e.g., RabbitMQ)
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, or similar observability tools
- Exposure to regulated environments (e.g., cybersecurity, GRC, FinTech, or healthcare)
