Roles & Responsibilities

  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in enterprise environments, preferably in a data center.
  • Knowledge of virtualization, server operating systems, and physical hardware.
  • Good communication skills in English.

Requirements:

  • Operate and maintain data center infrastructure including VMware, Citrix, Windows, and Linux systems.
  • Provision virtual servers and services based on customer requests.
  • Perform backup and restore operations as needed.
  • Support and maintain physical infrastructure and assist in service desk activities.

Job description

• Operate and maintain a mission critical environment consisting of:
o VMware
o Citrix application delivery
o Windows Servers (2008, 2012, 2016, 2019); Standalone and Cluster
o Linux (RedHat, OracleLinux)
o Physical Server hardware
o SAN Storage
• Provision virtual servers and services based on customer request and Senior analyst design
• Perform scheduled and adhoc backup and restore operations to meet the business needs
• Maintain and support the physical infrastructure and data center environment
• Work within the Service desk to support the hosted systems, on an operational level or
provide sufficient details for escalation to the senior team
• Participate in call rotationduties

• +2 years of work experience in enterprise environments, preferably within a data center
team.
• Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or equivalent.
• Experience or working knowledge in ITIL processes and standards is an added
advantage though not essential
• Experience of some or all technologies currently deployed in the data center (covered in
responsibilities)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is essential
