We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Compliance Officer & MLRO to ensure our companys adherence to legal standards and inhouse policies, as well as managing antimoney laundering (AML) responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance requirements, AML regulations, and a proactive approach to identifying potential risks and implementing effective solutions. Experience in ADGM is a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies across group companies.
Create a Compliance culture.
Implement relevant local Compliance policies and procedures to mitigate the risk ofFSRA rule breaches.
Monitoring and surveillance through a riskbased monitoring program.
To provide MLROCO functions to regulated or DNFPB clients.
Foster good relationships with the FSRA and any other relevant regulator
Oversee and manage AML programs, ensuring proper implementation and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Monitor and assess compliance and AML risks, providing recommendations to mitigate these risks effectively.
Conduct periodic internal reviews and audits to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and AML requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance and AMLrelated inquiries from employees, management, and external stakeholders.
Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance and AML matters, fostering a culture of compliance awareness and responsibility within the organization.
Keep up to date with regulatory developments, industry trends, and best practices, ensuring that the companys compliance and AML programs remain current and effective.
Manage the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and filings as required.
Coordinate with external auditors, regulators, and other relevant parties on compliance and AMLrelated matters, as necessary.
Assist in the development and implementation of corrective action plans for resolution of noncompliant situations.
Perform other compliance and AMLrelated tasks as assigned by the CEO.
Qualifications and Skills:
A minimum of 35 years of experience in a compliance and AML role, preferably within a regulated industry or DNFPB.
Knowledge of and experience with ADGM regulations is a significant advantage.
Strong understanding of compliance principles, AML laws, and best practices.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to identify potential risks and recommend effective solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex compliance and AML concepts to various audiences.
Proactive and detailoriented approach, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Bachelor’s degree in law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required; additional certifications in compliance, AML, or relevant areas are a plus (e.g., CAMS, ICA).
Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
