The Opportunity

As our CFO, youll be more than a financial steward; youll be a strategic partner, an architect of impact, and a driving force behind our global mission. This isnt a traditional finance role. Youll be at the forefront of:

• Securing Capital: Leading equity, debt, and impact financing rounds, attracting investment from VCs, DFIs, and global health funders.
• Structuring Innovation: Designing and managing innovative financing solutions, including a revolving credit fund to empower healthcare buyers in LMICs.
• Building Scalability: Optimizing our revenue model, ensuring financial sustainability, and navigating complex financial landscapes across multiple geographies.
• Driving Impact: Working closely with the CEO, leadership team, and investors to ensure every financial decision aligns with our mission to improve healthcare equity.
• Building a Legacy: Cultivating a highperforming finance team and establishing robust financial systems to support our exponential growth.

• What You Bring

  • A highgrowth finance leader: You have 12+ years of experience, including 5+ years in a senior finance role (CFO, SVP Finance, or similar top seniority), ideally in a startup, marketplace, fintech, or global health organization.
  • A handson executor: You’re just as comfortable building financial models and excel budgeting as you are pitching investors or closing a funding round.
  • Deep expertise in corporate finance & capital raising: You’ve fully led fundraising from VCs, structured debt deals, managed investor funds, and optimized capital allocation at scale.
  • Expertise in corporate finance: 7+ years of experience on global accounting and reporting across multiple entities, including transfer pricing structures and complying with different tax regulations.
  • Impact finance & credit tools experience You understand impact investing, credit risk assessment, and blended finance models—bonus points if youve worked with DFIs or health financing institutions.
  • Strategic yet scrappy: You can think big and move fast, balancing financial strategy with execution in a dynamic, startup environment. Adapt quickly to change and roll up your sleeves to get work done.
  • Strong communicator & stakeholder manager: You can engage investors, funders, regulators, and internal teams with clarity and influence.
  • Passionate about healthcare equity: You care deeply about solving access to medicines and want to use finance as a lever for impact.

  • Financial Operations & Compliance

    • Scale a worldclass finance function, ensuring we have robust financial systems, controls, and processes that support rapid growth.
    • Oversight of all accounting and reporting activities, including accounts payable and receivables, as well as transfer pricing considerations.
    • Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and international financial regulations, particularly as we expand into new geographies.
    • Oversee financial reporting, tax strategy, treasury management, and audits, ensuring transparency and governance.
    • Support business registration, regulatory approvals, and licensing in new markets.

    • Investor Relations & Stakeholder Management

      • Act as the primary financial liaison for investors, DFIs, and global health funders, ensuring they have a clear view of Axmed’s financial performance and impact.
      • Prepare financial reports, investor decks, and board presentations that communicate our growth trajectory.
      • Foster relationships with banking partners, regulatory bodies, and healthcare stakeholders to support expansion.

      • Scaling & Leadership

        • Build, lead, and mentor a highperforming finance team, ensuring we have the financial talent to match our ambitions.
        • Foster a culture of speed, innovation, and execution, ensuring the finance team operates as a strategic enabler of growth.
        • Work crossfunctionally with operations, technology and commercial teams to drive financial discipline across the business and support strategic endeavours and seamless execution.
