**Pyrotek is seeking a motivated, technical individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and driving industrial sales growth. Ideal candidate having experience in manufacturing, industrial sales, or customerfacing role, preferably within the aluminum industry.

Job Description

The role of the Associate Sales Engineer will be to support revenue growth by selling a portfolio of consumables, equipment, and technical services to clients in the aluminum industry while concurrently building technical expertise, expanding product knowledge, and developing strong sales capabilities under the mentorship of experienced Sales Team personnel.

This position will be full time remote, with 50% travel. The ideal candidate will reside within reasonable commuting distance to the Aurora, OH plant, or reside in the Columbus, OH area.

The responsibilities of this role will be:

  • Manage and grow assigned sales territory accounts, by:
    • Creating a mutually beneficial working relationship with customers that continuously meetsexceeds expectations.
    • Proactively identifying decision makers for initiating the sales process.
    • Effectively negotiating pricing, minimum order quantities, and supply agreements with customers, and communicating changes internally for customer demands.
    • Promptly providing technical support and resolutions to customers; and collaborating internally as needed.
    • Soliciting sales of new or additional products, preparing pricing, and presenting quotations.
    • Continuously maintaining awareness of competitors’ activities and employing counter measures to beat or contain competitor efforts.
    • Prospecting new customers, preparing pricing, and presenting quotations.
    • Correctly developing and preparing customer purchase agreements and submitting to Supply Chain personnel for final review prior to customer signing. At a minimum, each quarter, review agreement levels versus actual performance to ensure customers meet agreement terms.
    • Assisting as needed to resolve customer accounts receivable issues.
    • Presenting internal and customer technical presentations, as requested.
    • Meetingexceeding sales and gross profit targets.
    • Actively strategizing with management on sales tactics.
      • Provide effective sales support and ensure customer expectations are metexceeded for assigned sales accounts and products, by:
        • Regularly visiting customers at their facilities with the purpose of building customer rapport, performing training, andor selling products and services.
        • Gathering data, drafting and pricing quotes, and preparing reports andor presentations.
        • Setting final new prices, margins, and quotations within company pricing guidelines for new products or services.
        • Appropriately fielding customer calls, handling orders, and responding to customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
        • Partnering with customer service, operations, and supply chain to ensure order fulfilment expectations are met.
        • Fielding and resolving customer complaints concerning billing or products and documenting accordingly and timely by utilizing the CRM to initiate RMA’scustomer credits for approval.
        • Researching and addressing all customer problems and requests, including defining best products as a solution.
        • Establishing positive and collaborative working relationships with internal sales engineers, manufacturing operations, applicable vendors, and suppliers.

              Qualifications

              EducationExperience

              Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related technical discipline, plus two (2) years of project andor operations experience in manufacturing, industrial sales, or customerfacing role, preferably within the aluminum industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

              KnowledgeSkillsAbilities

              Technical Skills. Demonstrated ability to understand and clearly communicate product features, specifications, and value propositions to customers across technical and nontechnical audiences. Capable of interpreting and generating technical drawings, schematics, and layout designs to support solution development. Experienced in translating customer specifications into customized proposals, including feasibility assessments and ROI calculations. Ability to apply foundational math concepts such as algebra and geometry to calculate dimensions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume for product fit and performance.

              ComputerApplications Skills. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for documentation, reporting, and presentations. Familiar with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, video conferencing tools, instant messaging apps, and ERP or Order Management Systems used for inventory, pricing, and order tracking.

              Travel. Ability to travel domestically and internationally, by land and air, up to 50%. Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license and passport to support domestic and international travel requirements. Ability to maintain compliance with Pyroteks Vehicle Reimbursement Program, including but not limited to unrestricted driver’s license, motor vehicle record (MVR) requirements, passenger vehicle requirements, and insurance requirements.

              Working Environment

              Generally, work within an office and manufacturing environment. Whileif working remotely, must establish and maintain a dedicated, distractionfree home office environment that supports productivity and confidentiality, and must maintain reliable connectivity for business purposes. While working in a manufacturing environment, there may be exposure to fumes or airborne particles, varying temperatures, molten metal, a moderate level of noise, mechanical parts, and moving industrial vehicles. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as approved footwear, respirators, and safety glassesgoggles may be required.
