About the Role:

Join a dynamic team supporting missioncritical Cloud environments for highimpact projects. As an Azure Production Support Technician, you will manage, administer, support, and enhance Azure Cloud environments, ensuring rapid issue resolution and continuous improvement. This role requires advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and a deep understanding of industry best practices. You’ll develop innovative solutions to complex problems, work independently, and mentor junior team members. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support production environments for missioncritical systems in Azure.
  • Collaborate across development, security, and infrastructure teams to resolve production incidents.
  • Implement proactive monitoring and alerting strategies.
  • Draft and deliver clear, timely communications about production incidents to both internal developers and clientfacing stakeholders.
  • Proactively report data discrepancies, Spark runtime issues, authentication and access errors, service degradations, long running queries, and bottlenecks in production systems.
  • Triage highpriority incidents across SQL, Spark, and storage systems in realtime, working directly with Microsoft support when needed to escalate backend issues.
  • Participate and support the change management process, reviewing planned deployments and assessing risk to production systems.
  • Serve as a liaison between engineering, infrastructure, and client teams to coordinate deployments, test hotfixes, and validate endtoend data flows.
  • Provide daily reports on system health and product statuses.
  • Troubleshoot Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory data pipelines, ensuring data flow and process integrity.
  • Assess and resolve issues related to batch jobs and processes.
  • Utilize monitoring tools (such as Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, and Azure Log Analytics) to generate operational reports and identify potential issues proactively.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base, creating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation.
    • Basic Qualifications:

      • 2+ years of experience in data engineering
      • 2+ years of experience troubleshooting Azure Synapse, Databricks, or Azure Data Factory data pipelines
      • 2+ years of experience assessing and resolving batch job and processrelated issues
      • 2+ years of experience supporting production environments for missioncritical systems
      • Experience with Azure Active Directory and Azure Management Groups
      • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or Azure Analytics for operational reporting
      • Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to proactively recommend and implement solutions
      • Ability to create technical documentation and support artifacts
      • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or SuitabilityFitness determination based on client requirements
      • Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of relevant experience with Azure Active Directory and Azure Management Groups in lieu of a degree
        • Preferred Qualifications:

          • Experience with ITSM tools such as Jira Help Desk or ServiceNow
          • Familiarity with Managed Services and Security Accreditation processes
          • Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
          • Knowledge of Tier II and Tier III ticketing processes and integration with monitoring systems
          • Strong customer support focused on the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
          • AWS or Microsoft Azure Certification
