Job description

Holycode is looking for a Lead Test Engineer to join our bexio team who developed the perfect tool for managing small and medium-sized companies (SME).

bexio is the leading provider of web-based business software for SMEs in Switzerland with over 80'000 paying customers, over 1.000 qualified fiduciary partners and more than 150 employees. On top of that you can add lots of add-ons from the marketplace to make your administration and planning as easy as possible.

Responsibilities:

Mentor and lead a group of 5 Test (Automation) Engineers; they are working with a Java-based custom framework for API testing and Testim (JS) for Frontend testing
Design the future of QA at bexio together with your peer lead
Support a domain team with their testing requirements

What we expect from you:

Soft skills:
- Minimum 2 years experience in leading a small team
- Experience in working with remote teams
- Passion for and experienced with Agile, specifically Scrum
- English at least at C1
- Reliable and self-driven character
- Bonus points if you have:
  - A1 understanding of German
  - Experience in Accounting / Fintech
Tech skills:
- Hands-on experience working with Java (JVM)
- Solid experience with REST API testing (REST Assured, Postman, Insomnia, cURL, OpenAPI, Swagger, HTTP)
- Solid experience with Gherkin (Cucumber)
- Solid experience with BDD / TDD
- Bonus points if you have:
  - Solid experience with Java (Spring, Hibernate, Play)
  - Hands-on experience working with PHP (Symfony, Composer, Laravel)
  - Good knowledge of shell scripting (bash, zsh, scripting)
