Quality Engineer JD

Brief Job Description

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer with 2+ yrs of experience in DesigningImplementing Functional, NonFunctional Tests and ability to debug and narrow down the issue thereby reducing the turnaround time to address the issue. Engineer should also be well versed in UI Test Automation using Java Programming Language with handson experience in enhancing adding new modulesfunctions to BDD (Behavior Driver Development) Framework.

As a Test Engineer, should also monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards. As well perform assessment of defects that are found by customers and identify opportunities proactively to enhance the Overall Product Quality.

Key Responsibilities

Review Product requirements Use Cases, Design specifications and provide timely and meaningful feedback

DeriveDesign Test PlanTest Scenarios and Test Cases and ensure overall test coverage for the FeatureFunctionality.

Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.

Design, develop and execute automation scripts using inhouseopen source tools.

Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs

Proactively Perform thorough Regression testing when bugs are resolved

Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts

Key Requirements

Proven 2 to 4yrs of experience in UI Test Automation & Manual Testing of Web Applications (SaaS).

Strong handson experience with UI Test Automation using Java , REST AssuredPOSTMAN, Selenium, Selenium Grid, TestNG, Cucumber.

Handson experience with API testing (preferably REST API) using POSTMAN or Industry standard Tool

Strong knowledge of Software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including AgileScrum Release Process

Strong knowledge of Virtualization, Cloud and Storage domain (Backup and data protection)

Good experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases, debuggingtroubleshooting SaaS Application

Experience in enhancing Test Automation Framework API Automation is a plus.

BEBTech Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
