Risk Analyst (Trust and Safety)

Your primary function is to ensure the integrity of campaigns on Chuffed. This involves three functions: detecting campaigns that present risk signals, investigating campaigns to ensure compliance with our requirements and systematizing learnings into new detection and investigation protocols.

Here’s what you’ll do:

Detect campaign risks:

• Conduct reviews of new fundraising campaigns to identify potential upcoming risks
• Monitor existing fundraising campaigns for risk signals
• Monitor donation pattern models to flag potential emergent risks

• Investigate flagged campaigns:

  • Review and analyze community complaints regarding potential fraudulent activity
  • Providing empathetic email and occasional phone support to customers and other stakeholders to ensure fundraiser authenticity

  • Systematize learnings

    • Continuously improve the automated detection systems and processes
    • Provide feedback and improvements for our campaign investigation process
    • Provide input and feedback into product improvements to manage risk on the platform

      • You’ve got solid experience (35+ years) in a fraud, risk, trust & safety, or payments role.
      • You have experience or familiarity with customer due diligence, AMLCTF KYC regulations.
      • You have strong analytical or patterndetection skills with a processoriented, curious mindset.

      • You have a high level of empathy, integrity, and professionalism when interacting with customers and team members
