Description

The Software Development Team Lead is a key leadership role within our engineering organization—driving technical excellence, guiding talented developers, and ensuring our products achieve their full potential. In this role, you will coordinate and oversee the entire software development process, from clarifying requirements to delivering highquality releases. You will lead by example, modeling bestinclass development practices while coaching and empowering your team to grow in their careers

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Collaborate with Product OwnersManagers to organize work for team(s) and shepherding the work to releasable packages.
• Assist with defining and refining of requirements of User Stories
• Create system designs, use cases, data process flow diagrams, pseudocode, etc. as need to communicate with clarity
• Shepherd the development team in alignment with sprint schedules and release cadence
• Conduct review sessions of completed work, test plans, and installationrelease plans
• Provide technical leadership to members of the development team. Assist in the conceptualization and development of solutions, mentor developers, ensure adherence to development standards, conduct code reviews, etc.

  EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent work experience. Must be able to produce college transcripts showing minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • 710 years of software development.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience or technical leadership.
  • Experience in the following key technologies:
    • Big Data technology (Spark, Hadoop, HDFS, etc.) experience
    • 3+ years of Scala, Java or CC++
    • RDBMS – strong data modeling and data architecture skills required
    • Unix Experience Required
    • Shell scriptingPerl – Desired
    • Strong experience with Git and Continuous Integration, Deployment & Delivery
    • • Excellent written and oral communication skills

        • Department: Information Technology
        • Compensation Range: $113,000 $158,000. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component.
