What were looking for

We’re looking for an experienced Staff Engineer to join our Applications (App) team, which delivers the core web and embedded applications our customers use every day. The ideal candidate is passionate about building intuitive, reliable, and scalable userfacing products that empower healthcare providers to access and act on critical patient data.

As a member of the App team, you’ll work on everything from Reactbased user interfaces to the APIs that power them. You’ll contribute to the design and development of fullstack features, collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams, and ensure the scalability and maintainability of our applications as we grow. You enjoy thinking about the full flow of data from UI interactions to API design to backend systems, and are comfortable owning services end to end. Our stack includes React, TypeScript, GraphQL and RESTful APIs, and AWS services like ECS, Lambda, and DynamoDB. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fastpaced environment, values clean and maintainable code, and is eager to shape how users interact with the future of healthcare data.

As part of our team, you will
  • Build and operate web applications and the APIs that power them
  • Collaborate with team members and across Engineering to iteratively prototype and develop new functionality
  • Grow projects from conception to use at scale
  • Provide technical leadership, contributing to the architecture and design of the teams systems
  • Coach others to become better engineers
  • Partner with product managers and stakeholders to align technical strategy with business priorities

  • Youre a good fit because you
  • Are scrappy and you move fast
  • Can work across the tech stack, from front end to back end. We totally get that you may be more comfortable in one area over another – we are looking for versatility, not perfection
  • Care about usability and the polish that makes an interface delightful
  • Seek user feedback and data to improve the overall product experience
  • Enjoy owning your work and seeing it deploy safely in production
  • Are excited to ~ finally! ~ enable a true digital revolution in healthcare
  • Thrive amid the changing landscape of a growing and evolving startup
  • Enjoy collaboration and solving unique problems

  • It would be awesome if you were
  • Experienced in building and scaling high quality consumerfacing UIs
  • Familiar with our tech stack [ReactJS (Typescript), Tailwind CSS, Go, GraphQL, Terraform, FHIR]
  • Knowledgeable about application security
  • Experienced in working with healthcare data and APIs
  • Familiar with the FHIR andor TEFCA standards

  • We will offer you…

    • Competitive compensation that reflects the value you bring to the team a combination of cash and equity
    • Robust benefits that include health insurance, wellness benefits, 401k with a match, unlimited PTO
    • Opportunity to work alongside a passionate team that is determined to help change the world (and have fun doing it)

Please Note: Research shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often don’t apply unless they meet 100% of the job criteria. While we have worked to consolidate the minimum qualifications for each role, we aren’t looking for someone who checks each box on a page; we’re looking for active learners and people who care about disrupting the current healthcare system with their unique experiences.

We do not conduct interviews by text nor will we send you a job offer unless youve interviewed with multiple people, including the Director of People & Talent, over video interviews. Job scams do exist so please be careful with your personal information.
