Senior QC Engineer

The Senior Quality Control Engineer will ensure that products are designed, built, and produced in accordance with customer specifications and quality requirements. This position is typically offered full time and reports to QA Lead. Those wellsuited to this career enjoy problemsolving and working collaboratively with others.

• Perform Tests: perform a variety of tests, such as, smoke, regression, integration, and performance, cross browser, cross platform and responsive testing (PC, mobile and tablet), API testing, and any needed test per the test plan to confirm the stability of software systems.
• Report Bugs: report clear bugs and track them using tools like DevOps.
• Perform Automation: generate automation scripts. They research and use tools with the goal of increasing automation.
• Work with Team Members: work collaboratively with QC, development, and business groups to complete testing.
• Design Test Case: Create detailed, comprehensive and wellstructured test cases, and review test case written by joiners or midlevel
• Send test results report, after confirming it with QA lead.
• Documentation: Building project documentation such as user Manuals.

• Mentors and trains junior quality control engineers on policies and procedures and create tasks for them
• Identifies the root cause of quality problems, and coordinates modifications or other corrective actions.

• Architecting new automated test strategies and frameworks, in addition to creating, implementing and automating testing in support of software test requirements.
• develop, maintain, and enhance the test automation framework and automation infrastructure
• execute and report on planned tests, report and manage defects, regress software fixes for new and existing products
• Assist development with replicating and debugging problems and develop new test automation solutions as needed.

• Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or information technology, or equivalent education and work experience.
  • 45 of experience in testing.
  • Professional certification, such as ISTQBCTFL ISTQBCTAL
  • Problemsolving skills QC testers have strong problemsolving skills that allow them to test software, identify bugs, and solve errors
  • Automation experience Handson experience with automation tools such as Selenium Web Driver. They have experience developing automation scripts
  • Familiarity with testing QC testers are knowledgeable of testing phases and approaches, including functional, regression, integration, and endtoend
  • Programming QC testers may use programming languages to write tests as necessary, so they should have experience programming and coding
  • Teamwork working with other groups, QC testers have strong communication skills that allow them to collaborate with others. They communicate problems and coordinate with QC, development, and business groups to ensure products are free of errors
  • Able to multitask, triage issues, react well to changes, work independently or in a team setting in a fastpaced environment.
