Senior Laravel Developer (Remote from Europe)

Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Laravel Developer with exceptional expertise in building secure, scalable, and highperformance backend systems. This role is tailored for a highly experienced developer with a proven track record in the gambling and iGaming industry, having worked on complex systems such as player account platforms, affiliate networks, backoffice tools, and realtime transaction engines. You will play a lead role in backend development, system architecture, and platform optimization, bringing strategic insight into gamblingspecific logic, regulatory compliance, and performance at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of robust backend systems using Laravel 91011
• Design, document, and optimize RESTful APIs for gaming engines, player wallets, bonuses, and affiliate platforms
• Integrate with thirdparty providers: payment processors, game providers, KYCAML tools, and CRM platforms
• Ensure full compliance with iGaming regulations (e.g., GDPR, AML, data logging, KYC retention)
• Manage and tune MySQLPostgreSQL databases for highvolume transactional activity
• Utilize Redis, queues, and job workers for performance optimization and asynchronous operations
• Apply and enforce best practices in code security, including encryption, session control, and fraud mitigation
• Write and maintain unit and feature tests using PHPUnit or Pest
• Collaborate with DevOps for deployment pipelines, Docker environments, and CICD workflows
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews, technical leadership, and best practices adoption

• Requirements:

  • 15+ years of professional backend development experience
  • Minimum 5 years of handson work with Laravel (from version 5.6+ to 10+)
  • 5+ years in the iGaminggambling industry (casino, sportsbook, bingo, poker, or lottery systems)
  • Strong expertise in RESTful API development, documentation, and lifecycle management
  • Deep knowledge of MySQLPostgreSQL: schema design, indexing, query optimization
  • Practical use of Redis, event queues, and caching strategies
  • Understanding of JWT, OAuth2, and sessionbased authentication
  • Comfortable with NGINX, Docker, and Linuxbased deployment environments
  • Experience working with APIs from leading game providers (e.g., Softswiss, Pragmatic Play, EveryMatrix)
  • Proficient in Git workflows, version control, and Agile development methodologies
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; Spanish is considered a strong plus.
