JOB DESCRIPTION:

The platform features an intuitive online licensing system, branded web experience, realtime reporting, fulfilment, customer service, and petowner services. This role will focus on enhancing the Pet Owner Experience, leading the effort to redesign and implement the client’s design framework across a modern frontend architecture. The Engineering Manager will lead a blended team of internal and thirdparty engineers, collaborating closely with Product and Design to deliver usercentric, accessible, and highperforming features. This role reports to the Director of Software Engineering and will work closely with crossfunctional teams to implement best practices across the frontend and backend stack.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to fullstack feature development including UX, APIs, and backend services.
Build scalable, performant cloudbased solutions and enhancements.
Translate requirements (user stories, acceptance criteria, technical specs) into elegant and maintainable code.
Design and implement database schemas and deploymentmigration scripts.
Work closely with product managers and designers to develop intuitive user interfaces.
Conduct peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Participate in sprint ceremonies such as daily standups, planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks while weighing tradeoffs in terms of performance and maintainability.
Uphold engineering best practices and contribute to team productivity and knowledge sharing.
