Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pathfinding Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the pathfinding efforts for our nextgeneration SSD products. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to explore new technologies, develop innovative solutions, and drive the successful implementation of cuttingedge SSD products.

Plans, provides resources for and directs activities in engineering function to meet schedules, standards, and cost. Cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms and behaviors. Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, tasks, and solutions. Provides guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity issues. Plans and schedules daily tasks, uses judgement on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices. Inadequacies and erroneous decisions would cause moderate inconvenience and expense.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the pathfinding efforts for new SSD technologies and products.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including engineering, product management, and marketing, to define product requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technology assessments to identify potential solutions and evaluate their viability.
  • Develop and execute pathfinding strategies to address technical challenges and achieve product goals.
  • Drive the development of prototypes and proofofconcept designs to validate new technologies.
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends and advancements in SSD technology to ensure our products remain competitive.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Qualifications
      • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
      • 10+ years of experience in the SSD industry, with a focus on pathfinding and technology development.
      • Strong understanding of SSD architecture, NAND flash memory, and storage protocols.
      • Proven track record of successfully leading pathfinding projects from concept to production.
      • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome technical challenges.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
      • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
        • Preferred Qualifications:

          • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
          • Experience with advanced NAND technologies, such as 3D NAND and QLC.
          • Knowledge of emerging storage technologies, such as NVMe and PCIe Gen4.
          • Familiarity with firmware development and validation processes.

              For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $195,900 $342,820. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
