Reporting to the VP, Analytics & Data Science, the Senior Business Analyst plays a critical role in understanding customers’ needs and translating them into technical solutions using the Forma platform. You’ll design and deliver tailored solutions, serve as a trusted technical advisor, and collaborate closely with our internal teams.

What you'll do:

Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Design and implement ETL pipelines, data models, and workflows using PySpark and Databricks
Support our professional services team with extracting, transforming, and analyzing client data to optimize their incentive compensation and sales performance strategies
Create thorough documentation and contribute to internal knowledge bases and process improvement initiatives
Lead technical initiatives to improve data infrastructure, performance, and reliability
Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in data quality, testing, and governance

What we're looking for:

Required:

Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical role such as Business Analyst, Data Engineer, or Analytics Engineer
Proficient at writing complex and efficient Python scripts and SQL queries
Experience with modern data lakehouse architectures (Databricks, Snowflake), and an understanding of what drives performance and cost
A customer-first mindset, with a proven track record of understanding customer challenges and delivering impactful solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Collaborative approach, with experience working across engineering, product, sales, and customer success teams
Interest in exploring and adopting emerging technologies to enhance data ingestion and processing efficiency

Nice to have:

Experience in machine learning or business intelligence (BI)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience working with Salesforce and other financial data sources
Prior experience in ICM (incentive compensation management), SPM (sales performance management), or sales roles.
