Job Summary

The IQGeo Enterprise Sales team is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer in our Denver, CO USA office to support sales activity by providing technical expertise of software products and the Utility industry to existing and potential customers. This role is customerfacing and supports the Sales team and industry executives during the sales process. The role will be key in formulating customer requirements and our proposed solution, responsible for the definition, implementation of utilities product demonstrations to customers and supporting the bid process. Creating and demonstrating how the software works to solve real problems will require your ingenuity, creativity, and strong communication skills.

• DutiesResponsibilities

  The Senior Solutions Engineer supports the sales team to drive new orders and revenue by:

  • Proactively engage in the sales cycle and take charge of the technical aspects and deliverables during the potential electric customers product evaluation.
  • Meetings with customers early in the development cycle to fully appreciate and understand the problem the customer is trying to solve.
  • Define and implement appropriate demonstrations to fulfill the customer’s needs.
  • Confidently present these to the customer at the appropriate level.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and conferences.
  • Play an active role in the introduction of new products into the market.
  • Supports the development of strategic utility customer account plans.
  • Support Sales with client business case development, as applicable.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.

  • Required SkillsAbilities

    • Ability to build demonstrations to present to the customer (end users, technical experts, IT experts, senior management) and internal Sales Directors.
    • Experience with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) or web mapping (ESRI, QGIS, Smallworld).
    • Industry experience with Electric networks and optionally Gas
    • Familiarity with related industry solutions such as electric distribution designoperations, outage management, ADMS, asset management and work management
    • Excellent listening and oral and written communication skills; the ability to articulate technical solutions and how they can solve customers business problems to all audiences from the very technical to nontechnical.
    • Excellent sales and customer service skills.

      Education and Experience

      • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant Industry, Engineering or Technical subject.
      • Minimum 5 year of technology and industry experience.

      • Physical Requirements:

        • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
        • Occasional travel mainly within the US and Canada.
