Job description

As the Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead by being a highly technical leader who delivers high business impact on projects of increasing dependencies and ambiguity.

You will lead a team of individual contributors in the development of technology that saves lives and improves mental and physical health for millions of people.

You will lead a team that is building an AI platform and supports AI enablement across the company.

At Aledade, we empower primary care physicians with technology to keep their patients healthy, preventing unnecessary hospitalizations.

Primary Duties:Build a high performing team by hiring and nurturing engineering talent.
Strong technical leadership drive technical solutioning and building roadmaps.
Set aggressive and clear goals and remove all roadblocks for the team to achieve them.
Working seamlessly and collaboratively with stakeholders across Aledade to achieve business outcomes.
Work closely with engineering leaders to drive engineering excellence in our processes and systems.

Minimum Qualifications:
BSBTech (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field required.
10+ years of productionlevel experience as an engineer and technical lead building highly scalable and reliable software.
5+ years of managerial experience building and leading technical engineering teams.
Experience managing AI and platform engineering teams.

Preferred KSA’s:
You have experience in attracting, hiring, and coaching worldclass engineers including performance management.
You have experience in taking ownership of the technology decisions, while delegating and empowering team members.
You have experience communicating analysis and establishing confidence among audiences who do not share your disciplinary background or training.
You have strong communication and relationship building skills, with experience influencing and aligning multiple stakeholders.
You have experience managing platform engineering teams that have built production grade infrastructure for MLOps or LLM Ops.
You have experience leading big data engineering teams.
5+ years experience building and managing platform engineering teams and specifically machine learning platform engineering teams at scale.
Experience managing AI platform engineering teams on python stack.
Excellent problemsolving, organizational, and communication skills.
Leadership Experience. You have led engineering teams in past roles, demonstrating an ability to mentor, inspire, and drive technical excellence.
Strategic Vision. You have experience crafting and executing a strategic vision for the team. You have connected daytoday tactics to longterm strategy, ensuring that the teams output aligns with our business goals.
Planning Prowess. Your background includes translating business objectives into technological roadmaps, aligning shortterm actions with longterm strategic goals, and effectively communicating these plans to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Experience with Scaled Deployment. Your experience includes managing the challenges of software deployment, updates, and maintenance across thousands of remote endpoints (browserwindows appsetc.).
Experience in building and managing chromium based apps, pluggable UIs (overlays) which work via chrome plugins chromium apps in browsers windows desktop.
Experience with the healthcare industry, understanding of healthcarerelated regulatory compliance, and Electronic Health Records (EHRsEMRs) is a plus.
You have experience in attracting, hiring, and coaching worldclass engineers including performance management.
Familiarity with at least 1 serverside web technology (eg: Nodejs, Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++,Go, JVM). Python preferred.
Experience with cloud based technologies such as AWS, Azure or google cloud.
