Responsibilities

As a Tech Lead, you will play a strategic role, serving as a technical reference and team leader. This position requires a balance between technical expertise, people leadership, and project management.

  • Define team objectives and project goals, ensuring alignment with the companys broader strategies and objectives.
  • Facilitate communication within the squad and across technical and nontechnical teams, ensuring alignment and timely delivery of highquality outcomes.
  • Actively participating in the recruitment, training, and development of team members, fostering a productive and growthoriented environment.
  • Collaborating with other technical leaders, aligning technology strategies and contributing to the evolution of the companys technical direction.
  • Ensuring the technical quality of deliverables, providing guidance and support in solving complex problems.
  • Promote the adoption of AIassisted engineering practices within your squad and chapter, leveraging tools for code generation, automated refactoring, test case creation, and technical documentation. Identify opportunities where AI can enhance developer productivity, code quality, and team velocity.
  • Guide conversations to remove blockers and encourage collaboration in your team.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure technical initiatives, such as refactoring, performance tuning, and tech debt—are properly scoped and prioritized within the product backlog.
  • Ensure implementation of quality and observability standards, including automated testing, monitoring, alerting, and logging across the development lifecycle.
  • Lead retrospectives and continuous improvement efforts, driving team evolution through feedback and actionable insights.
  • Support team staffing decisions by matching people to tasks based on skills, priorities, and development opportunities.
  • Support the definition and followup of individual development goals aligned with team objectives and business priorities.
    • Requirements

      • Academic background oriented toward computer science, engineering, or software development disciplines.
          • Proven track record of leading teams and working in productdriven companies.
          • Handson experience in backend (Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, PostgreSQL, AWS) and optionally frontend development, with a track record of delivering scalable systems.
          • Experience in Python is a plus.
          • Experience with asynchronous programming.
          • Experience working with domains of medium to high complexity.
          • A solid understanding of how web and mobile applications work including security, session management, and best development practices.
          • Knowledge of relational database systems and Object Oriented Programming.
          • Knowledge of DomainDriven Design (DDD) and experience designing or maintaining microservicesbased systems.
          • Ability to work and thrive in a fastpaced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web and mobile technologies and techniques.
          • Practical experience applying AI frameworks in development projects.
          • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience with agile methodologies.

          • Ability to engage both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
          • Competence in defining clear objectives and ensuring the team meets project milestones.

                    • IndustrySpecific Knowledge

                      As a Tech Leader, you bring practical familiarity with one or more core financial domains, such as lending, payments, credit cards, open finance, fraud prevention, merchant acquiring, or investment services, and understand the operational workflows, regulatory considerations, and business impact that shape these areas.

                      You leverage this knowledge not only to guide the technical implementation of backend solutions, such as payment orchestration, frauddetection services, or onboarding flows, but also to collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and business stakeholders in defining priorities and making tradeoffs that balance technical feasibility with strategic objectives.

                      Your role involves translating domainspecific requirements into actionable tasks, mentoring engineers to understand the business context behind their work, and ensuring the team delivers solutions that are robust, compliant, and aligned with customer needs. You help the squad connect technical work with revenue, performance, and user experience outcomes, creating an environment where engineers contribute with full awareness of business impact.
