Staff Software Engineer (Frontend)

Coder is looking for a Staff Software Engineer with a frontend specialization who is excited about shaping the future of cloudbased, AIpowered development. At Coder, you will drive the development of our products through core technology advancements, enterprise features, and developer tooling.

What you’ll do here

• Collaborate with a talented team to design and develop the future of cloudbased developer environments using TypeScript, React, and a modern tech stack. Your work will shape the tools that thousands of developers rely on every day to write, test, and ship code faster.

• Leverage tools like Vite, Jest, and Storybook to develop and showcase UI components in isolation. Youll play a key role in building scalable, performant, and accessible user interfaces.

• Use MUIMaterialUI and Figma to translate product and design requirements into elegant, usercentric interfaces that balance aesthetics and functionality. Your attention to detail will help ensure every interaction feels smooth and intentional.

• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through code reviews, design discussions, and close collaboration across engineering, product, and design teams. Expect to move fast, learn constantly, and ship impactful features.

• Be responsible for the overall architecture and tooling around Coder’s frontend

• What we’re looking for

  • Currently based in Poland, the UK, or Ireland

  • You’ve worked professionally as a Software Engineer for at 8+ years

  • Youre highly competent in Typescript and React

  • You have knowledge and understanding of backend architecture

  • Your code is wellstructured, performant, welltested, and documented

  • You help make those around you better through code review, design review, sharing your knowledge, and more

    • Frontend: Typescript, React, Vite

      • Deep experience with one or more of the major clouds

      • Worked on enterprise applications, developer tools, or onpremises software

      • Experience connecting directly with customers

      • You have knowledge and understanding of Go

      • Experience with infrastructure technologies like Kubernetes, Nomad, or Docker

      • Experience with Linux

      • Experience with WireGuard andor Tailscale

      • Degree in Computer Science or other applicable field

      • A Webbased portfolio or resume

        Interview Process
