Job description

We are looking for ecommerce lead Google Analyst expert to standardize data layer implementation across all platforms. This role requires close collaboration with both business and development teams across projects to review and implement GA needs

Core Responsibilities

Google Analytics Setup & Maintenance

    • Configure and manage GA4 properties, data streams.
    • Implement ecommerce tracking for product views, addtocart, checkout, and purchases.
    • Ensure enhanced ecommerce features are working correctly.
                                • Data Accuracy & Validation

                                  • Regularly audit data collection for accuracy, completeness, and duplication.
                                  • Debug tracking issues using tools like GA Debugger, Tag Assistant, DataLayer Inspector.
                                  • Ensure crossdomain tracking works for multiple brand sites or payment gateways.
                                    • Reporting & Troubleshooting Support

                                      • Work with marketing on UTM tracking standards and campaign measurement.
                                      • Troubleshoot discrepancies between GA and ecommerce platform analytics.
                                        • Custom Event & Goal Tracking

                                          • Create and implement custom GA events (clicks, page views views, builder steps).
                                          • Configure custom dimensions & metrics for businessspecific KPIs.
                                            • Integration with Other Platforms

                                              • Set up API integrations for data export to BI tools like Tableau.
                                                • Compliance & Security

                                                  • Implement cookie consent and privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA) into GA.
                                                    • Tag Management

                                                      • Set up and manage Google Tag Manager (GTM) containers, triggers, and variables.
                                                      • Maintain version control and change logs for GTM updates.
                                                        • Technical Skills Required

                                                          • Strong knowledge of GA4 architecture, event model, and enhanced ecommerce setup.
                                                          • Experience in crossfunctional collaboration between IT, marketing, and product teams.
                                                          • Proficiency with Google Tag Manager.
                                                          • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and dataLayer customization.
                                                          • Understanding of serverside tagging.
                                                          • Familiarity with SQL and data querying from BigQuery.
                                                          • Ability to work with APIs for data extraction and automation.
                                                          • Knowledge of privacy laws and cookie consent tools.
                                                            • Preferred Experience

                                                              • Ecommerce platform experience (Broadleaf commerce, Shopify).
                                                              • Integration of GA with AB testing tools (Google Optimize, Optimizely).
                                                              • Previous work on multichannel attribution and funnel analysis.
