Job Description

The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is a key leader in ensuring that all quality policies and practices are consistently implemented across construction projects. This role provides technical expertise, leadership, and coordination in all areas of quality management while collaborating with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors. The QCM develops and administers qualityrelated policies, procedures, and initiatives to deliver compliant and exceptional results.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and enforce projectspecific Quality Management Plans (QMPs).
  • Work collaboratively with project teams and subcontractors to meet quality goals.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and constructability reviews to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Lead the Three Phase Inspection process, including preparatory, initial, and followup phases.
  • Chair and document preparatory and weekly QC meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and contract documents to ensure conformance with project requirements.
  • Provide training and coaching to project teams to identify and mitigate qualityrelated risks.
  • Maintain records of quality control activities and nonconformance logs (NCRs) and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Act as the primary Quality Control representative, overseeing all QC functions to avoid delays and maintain schedules.

          Qualifications

          Required Qualifications

          • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
          • Minimum of 6 years of construction experience in a quality control management role.
          • Proficiency in Procore, Viewpoint, SharePoint, and MS Office.
          • Indepth knowledge of construction standards, best practices, and the International Building Code (IBC).
          • Proven experience with diverse project types and the ability to delegate and supervise tasks.
          • Strong analytical skills and systematic thinking with exceptional organizational capabilities.
            • Preferred Qualifications

              • Experience in constructability reviews and risk prevention planning.
              • Familiarity with DFOW (Definable Features of Work) activities.
              • Active relationships with engineers, consultants, and industry associations.
