About the roleOne of the RubyLabs’ portfolio companies is looking for a Mid UIUX Engineer to join our team and take full ownership of designing and implementing user interfaces using prebuilt component libraries.
This role is perfect for a frontend engineer who enjoys working within structured design systems and ensuring highquality, datadriven user experiences. You will be responsible for both defining the UI structure (using existing components) and implementing it in code—without relying on a separate designer.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign web interfaces using prebuilt components (NextUI, HeroUI, Tailwind).
Ensure consistency, usability, and accessibility across designs.
Create wireframes and layouts based on structured design principles.
Implement designs using NextUI, HeroUI, and Tailwind CSS on top of Next.js, React.
Develop and maintain scalable, maintainable, and performant UI and reusable components.
Ensure crossbrowser compatibility and responsiveness.
Work with product managers to translate datadriven requirements into UI solutions.
Ensure seamless handoff between design and development by owning both parts of the process.
Maintain high coding standards and efficient workflows.
Qualifications2+ years of frontend development experience (Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind).
Strong understanding of UIUX principles and ability to work within structured design systems.
Experience with UI component libraries (NextUI, HeroUI, or similar).
Ability to design and structure UI without relying on a dedicated designer.
Proficiency in HTML & CSS, writing clean, maintainable code.
Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Visily) to work with assets.
Experience with version control systems (Git).
Portfolio showcasing at least 5 projects where you handled both UI design and frontend implementation.
Nice to haveExperience working with design systems and componentbased architecture.
Background in D2C product development or performance marketing.
Experience optimizing accessibility and usability.
