Position Overview:

MedCore Solutions, the healthcare division of Bizforce, is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Virtual Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing medical charts and document systems, with a focus on Endocrinology, particularly in thyroid cancer cases. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from home, but candidates must be based in Metro Manila.

The Virtual Medical Assistant will play a vital role in supporting healthcare providers and ensuring highquality patient care within the specialized field of endocrinology. You will be responsible for managing medical documents, coordinating referrals, and maintaining clear communication with patients and the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medical Chart Review: Review and interpret medical charts to provide support for patient care documentation and referral coordination in thyroid cancer and other endocrine conditions.
  • Referral Coordination: Upload and manage referrals in the system, ensuring completeness and accuracy using document management tools, while collaborating with the referral coordinator to track and optimize the workflow.
  • Patient Communication: Reach out to patients via phone, email, or virtual platforms to provide updates, clarify information, and address concerns in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Telehealth Scheduling: Handle telehealth appointments, ensuring patients are prepared for virtual consultations.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on referral processes, followup care, and general healthcare information related to their conditions.
  • Medical Record Management: Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMRs) with accurate patient information, ensuring data is organized and secure.
  • Administrative Support: Organize and manage digital records, schedules, and communication flows, providing virtual administrative support for document preparation, filing, and task tracking.
  • Project Coordination: Assist with tracking referral outcomes, compiling reports, and managing data for operational efficiency in the endocrinology practice.
  • Appointment Preparation: Ensure healthcare providers have the necessary virtual documentation for appointments.
    • Requirements

      • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in a remote healthcare environment
      • Strong organizational skills for appointment scheduling
      • Proficient in maintaining and organizing medical records and insurance documentation
      • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
      • Working knowledge of medical terminology and standard procedures
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • High attention to detail and adept organizational capabilities
      • Prior experience with scheduling software preferred
