What we are looking for

AvantStay is seeking an AI Solution Architect to lead our efforts in integrating Artificial Intelligence into our technology stack. As part of our engineering team, you’ll be responsible for researching, prototyping, and implementing AI tools and practices that unlock new capabilities across the business. We’re looking for someone who thrives on applying cuttingedge AI tools, knows how to build scalable solutions, and is excited to share that knowledge with others.

This role is perfect for someone with strong individual contributor skills who also enjoys writing documentation, creating internal standards, and guiding others toward AI best practices.

What youll do

• Explore & Evaluate: Research, prototype, and implement stateoftheart AI technologies including LLMs, vector databases, agent frameworks, and opensource models.
• Build & Ship: Design, develop, test, and deploy productionready AI features that deliver tangible business value.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with engineering, product, and operations to identify highleverage AI use cases.
• Establish Best Practices: Define internal standards, frameworks, and documentation for scalable and responsible AI development.
• Upskill the Team: Lead workshops, mentor engineers, and foster a culture of AI fluency across the org.
• Architect Solutions: Influence architectural decisions for robust and costeffective AI infrastructure.
• Optimize Resources: Develop strategies for costperformance tradeoffs in deploying AI models at scale.

• Requirements

  What youll bring

  • Proven experience of shipping AIpowered features that delivered real business value.
  • Handson experience building with today’s top AI tools: LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic), orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex), vector search (FAISS, Pinecone), and agentic systems.
  • Strong programming skills in at least one programming language suitable for AI development (e.g. Python).
  • Experience designing and deploying endtoend machine learning or AIpowered systems.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, prototyping, and experimenting with fastevolving tools.
  • Passion for teaching, writing clear documentation, and enabling others to learn.
  • Strong systems thinking and an ability to translate business problems into AI solutions.
  • A hacker’s mindset creative, pragmatic, and executionoriented.
  • Experience working in or building your own startup is a strong plus.
