About the Team

Led by our Architecture Lead Brendan, you’ll be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team of Architects and Consultants that are deeply passionate about turning bold enterprise visions into smart, scalable solutions. As a key pillar of our Consulting Division, the Architecture team plays a major role in our growth story - influencing high-impact digital transformations across various industries. If you love big-picture thinking, with real-world impact, this is the team for you.

The Role

As a Solution Architect at Envitia, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering innovative, data-driven solutions for our clients. You’ll work with both Envitia’s own product suite and leading commercial technologies to design and implement solutions that make a real impact.

Part of our consulting division, you’ll take full ownership of solution delivery while also contributing to the growth of our internal capability—developing new frameworks, methodologies, and proof-of-concept demonstrators.

Beyond delivery, you’ll also support pre-sales activities: defining technical strategies, scoping effort and cost, and helping to strengthen Envitia’s presence in the market through industry events and conferences. 

Job Responsibilities 

• Gather and interpret client requirements, translating them into tailored, data-driven solutions.
• Define technical strategies and create advisory artefacts to support organisational change.
• Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of modern solution architectures across a range of technologies and platforms.
• Work closely with project managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation.
• Provide technical leadership during solution reviews, ensuring compliance with client needs and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to the design and evolution of cross-cutting managed services for Envitia and its clients.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their potential impact and opportunities.
• Ensure all solutions are consistent with Envitia’s architecture policies, principles, and standards.
• Develop cost models, risk assessments, and business cases to support proposed solutions.

Skills Required 

Essential:

• Experience in requirement elicitation, management, and translation into solution designs.
• Expertise in major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.), with relevant certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of legacy and modern technology stacks.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures, microservices, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience integrating Azure and AWS native applications with COTS solutions.
• Experience working with Defence or Central Government clients.

Desirable 

• Certifications including TOGAF, Zachman or ArchiMate. 
• Experience leading solution development in pre-sales, including proposal writing and client presentations. 

Security Clearance Requirements

The successful candidate must hold or be required to go through an SC security clearance.

Location

The role will require travel to our Horsham offices 2 days a month and travel to customer sites when required.
