Overview:

We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and commercially minded Market Intelligence Manager to join our BizDev team.

Purpose of the role:

This role will be the research and insights engine driving our regional expansion, providing unmatched visibility into market trends, competitive landscapes, compliance frameworks, and commercial potential. You will work closely with Heads of Region and Business Development Managers to identify market opportunities, evaluate risks, and build the foundation for sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities:

Market Research & Intelligence
- Conduct in-depth research on the iGaming landscape in assigned regions (initially LatAm and Africa).
- Map and monitor key players, including competitors, aggregators, and operators. Track regulatory updates, compliance changes, taxation models, and licensing frameworks.
- Analyse consumer behaviour, payment preferences, and technology adoption trends.
- Gather cultural and regional insights that influence product strategy and market entry.
Market Profiling & Monitoring
- Maintain and regularly update country-specific market profiles with: Top market players and market share insights
- Compliance and licensing requirements Potential risks and market barriers Monitor and summarise new legislation, political developments, or policy changes impacting the gambling sector.
- Identify and flag emerging opportunities or threats before they affect commercial performance.
Commercial & Strategic Support
- Support financial and non-financial goal setting by assessing market potential and realistic penetration opportunities.
- Collaborate with the BizDev team to develop regional financial forecasts based on product fit and growth potential.
- Challenge assumptions and provide a neutral, data-driven perspective on opportunity vs risk.
- Prepare regular insight reports, strategic briefs, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
Knowledge Base & Process
- Development Help build and maintain a structured knowledge base in Confluence for all market-related information.
- Develop and document procedure flows related to market research, monitoring, and reporting, ensuring consistency across regions

Required Experience:

Proven experience in market research, business intelligence, or competitive analysis, preferably in the iGaming sector.
Strong understanding of regional dynamics in LatAm, Africa, and/or Asia.
Familiarity with gambling regulations, licensing processes, and compliance frameworks.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Experience with Confluence or similar knowledge management tools is a plus.
