Job Description

Who We Are:

Marketlab is a market leading healthcare solutions organization specializing in the design, manufacturing, and sourcing of private label products. It’s our mission to provide our healthcare partners timely solutions with a straightforward approach based on knowing them and their work. Every day we strive to positively impact the lives of the people who in turn impact the health and wellness of our communities.

Based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Marketlab’s success is built upon a foundation of collaboration, innovation, and the belief that every team member plays a vital role in creating an exceptional customer service experience.

 The Opportunity:

The Product Ops Specialist plays an essential operational role on the Product Management team and acts as a key internal partner to Sales, Customer Experience, Commercial Operations, Marketing, and Digital. This is a demanding, detail-critical role responsible for triaging and resolving product-related inquiries, maintaining product documentation systems, and supporting day-to-day execution for multiple categories within the overall Marketlab portfolio.

This role requires high personal accountability, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to handle task complexity and ambiguity with precision. It’s designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and are looking to build the executional and operational foundation required for more senior roles within Product Management or other commercial functions.

This role reports to the Product Operations Manager.

Functional/Technical Competencies:

  • Inquiry Triage & Field Enablement: Act as a first-line responder for product questions from Sales, Customer Experience, Commercial Ops, and Digital. Research and resolve issues quickly and accurately.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Assist with organizing and tracking deliverables for product launches, lifecycle changes, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • System Navigation & Data Awareness: Navigate core platforms and tools (e.g., ERP, PIM, Asana, Google Workspace) to manage product information workflows.

The person hired for this position must embody and effectively demonstrate the Marketlab Values.

Behavioral Competencies:

  • Executional Precision: Get the details right the first time. In this role, the cost of small mistakes is high. The accuracy of your work directly affects sales, customer trust, and team productivity.
  • Ownership & Accountability: Take full responsibility for the quality and timeliness of your work. Show initiative in solving problems and improving team workflows.
  • Learning Agility: Demonstrate rapid learning of systems, processes, and product information. Over time, take on ownership of increasingly complex tasks and special projects.
  • Team Orientation with Independence: Support a collaborative team dynamic while showing autonomy in driving your tasks to completion. Communicate proactively and work cross-functionally with confidence.

What You’ll Do:

  • Respond to product-related questions with speed and accuracy (approx. 50% of time)
  • Maintain product documentation and ensure product data is up-to-date and accessible
  • Support Product Managers with task tracking, documentation, meeting support, and project coordination
  • Identify process or documentation gaps and proactively contribute solutions
  • Take ownership of special projects such as knowledge base improvements, launch support tools, and administrative operations

What You’ll Need:

The ideal candidate will have…

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in product operations, customer service, data management, or internal support roles
  • Demonstrated ability to work in high-expectation environments where accuracy, speed, and reliability matter
  • Strong organizational, systems, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems such as ERP or PIM a plus
  • A drive to grow within a product-driven, customer-first organization

Benefits:
