Job description

Our client is a leading Australian publisher of customised school planners and educational resources, supporting over 1,000 schools annually. They value innovation, accuracy, and a collaborative work culture.

They are now seeking to hire a Typesetter Desktop Publisher to join their team remotely.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and format planner layouts using Adobe InDesign and Illustrator (PCbased).
  • Ensure files meet internal formatting and style guidelines, with version control and proofing applied.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting production deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the Graphics & Production Manager and team members to deliver ontime, highquality output.
  • Resolve layout and formatting issues proactively and with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct checks for spelling, grammar, layout consistency, and output quality.
    • Requirements

      • Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator (PC platform).
      • Strong English grammar and spelling skills.
      • Minimum 2 years’ experience in typesetting, desktop publishing, or prepressprint production.
      • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
      • Excellent time management, multitasking, and problemsolving skills.
      • Familiarity with MS Office Google Workspace (Intermediate).
        • Technical Requirements:

          • Dual monitor setup
          • PCLaptop with at least Intel Core i7 10th Gen or higher
          • Has a minimum of 16GB RAM
