Genesis10 is currently seeking a Tandem Software Engineers for a 12 month contract role with our client in New York, NY. This role is 100% remote.

Description:
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our clients Core Acquiring Front End engineering group within the firms Global Business Solutions (Payment Acceptance) business.

You will be joining an organization responsible for mission critical platforms that support our payments acquiring business. We process over 350 million payment transactions per day with a peak throughput of over 8,000 transactions per second all while maintaining millisecond fast response time. All this is done for some of the largest merchants in the US.
This fastpaced online transaction processing environment requires a passionate critical problem solver who can balance platform stability and resiliency along with modern engineering practices and solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Handson software engineer on an online transaction processing (OLTP) application based in C and TAL on the Client NonStop platform
• Delivers quality code to integration testing, certification, and production environments
• Automates testing and deployments through CICD processes (plays QE role as necessary)
• Responsible for design, build and support of aligned application(s) or platform(s)
• Own tech stories, participates in code reviews, and supports production
• Design performant, efficient, effective, and reusable technical solutions
• Partner effectively with DevOps, Production Support, and peer platform teams

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Ability to clearly communicate with peers and senior leaders
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering roles (C, TAL)
• Experience with Enscribe, Pathway, DDL, SQLMP
• Experience in Payments processing
• Experience engineering OLTP applications

Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Experience in SQLMX, OSS
• Experience building solutions in public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Compensation:
Hourly W2 pay: $60.00 to $70.00hour

We have access to additional contract, contracttohire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
