  • Expertise with MPI and/or OpenSHMEM
  • Experience with performance profiling and debugging tools for high-performance and massively parallelizable applications
  • Experience conducting performance benchmarking and triage on large- scale HPC clusters.
  • Knowledge on general HPC components like compute, interconnects, memory, and storage.
  • Experience with job scheduling workloads and orchestration tools such as Slurm and/or PBS, Kubernetes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a creative, iterative mindset to tackle complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and convey technical details to non-technical partners

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Quantum Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, Physics, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Experience with programming language design
  • Experience with library API design
  • Experience managing of open-source projects
  • Strong consensus-building skills
  • Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and generative AI.
  • Solid understanding of quantum computing algorithms, computational physics, quantum many-body systems, quantum chemistry, material science, combinatorial optimization, or statistical physics.
  • Experience with quantum computing SDKs (e.g., Qiskit, CUDA-Q, TensorFlow Quantum, Pennylane)
  • Experience working with AI frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Strong track record of sharing findings with the broader scientific community, e.g., publishing research papers in top-tier journals and conferences
