Job description

Position Purpose: A pivotal enterprise leadership role responsible for translating Centene’s evolving business strategies into actionable, scalable implementation plans across markets and business functions. This role plays a critical part in advancing Centene’s ability to execute complex initiatives—such as new product launches, care delivery models, or regulatory-driven transformation—by designing operating models, governance structures, and cross-functional execution frameworks that drive enterprise value

  • Coordinate, deliver, and maintain the annual strategic plan at an enterprise level.
  • Solidify and scale enterprise operating models for high-priority initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and market-specific requirements.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify and monitor strategic priorities.
  • Design and evolve implementation plans that leverage Centene’s core differentiators and maximize impact, scalability, and enterprise alignment.
  • Partner with BTS and systems teams to co-design platform and technology solutions that meet business needs and enable differentiated service delivery.
  • Lead the development and oversight of competitive intelligence process.
  • Initiate, develop, and mature strategic, innovative partnerships aimed to drive advocacy for the Division’s various lines of business.
  • Deliver and support chief of staff responsibilities such as presentation development, governance management, communications and priority projects as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • 8+ years experience in strategy, operations management, or consulting experience in the Healthcare, Insurance, or financial services industry required.
  • Direct people leadership, including the management of other people leaders.
  • 3+ years of supervisory/management experience required.
  • DUALS experience strongly preferred
  • Travel 10%.

Pay Range: $185,200.00 - $352,700.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
