Job Description

What Does a VP, Medical Communication Strategy Do?

The Vice President (VP) of Medical Communication Strategy will serve as a leader accountable for strategy development for Medical Communications client work. This individual will shape and drive the development of innovative, evidencebased communication strategies that effectively convey the clinical and scientific value of our pharmaceutical clients’ products. With expertise in bridging science, medicine, and marketing, the VP will inspire teams, foster client relationships, and position the agency as a trusted partner in the pharmaceutical industry.

In addition, this individual will be a key driver in growing the Agency’s MedComm body of work by expanding existing agency’s current client relationships and participating in new business pitches.

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and oversee medical communication strategies across multiple client therapeutic areas to support product launches, lifecycle management, and HCPfocused education initiatives.
  • Provide strategic counsel to pharmaceutical and biotech clients on bestinclass scientific messaging and evidence dissemination.
  • Lead the strategic conceptualization and execution of highimpact programs, in collaboration with crossdiscipline leads (AM, Creative, Medical, PMO, CS, CX, et al), including unbranded and branded campaigns, scientific platforms, and disease education initiatives.
    • Team Leadership and Development

      • Build, mentor, and inspire highperforming teams of medical communication strategists.
      • Ensure best practices in the development of medical communications deliverables.
      • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability across the organization.
      • Ensure team members stay abreast of emerging trends in medical communications, therapeutic landscapes, and regulatory environments.

          • Build, mentor, and inspire highperforming teams of medical communication strategists.

              • Drive the agency’s growth through organic and identifying new business opportunities, expanding client portfolios, supporting RFI and RFP responses, and pitches.
              • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to align medical communication strategies with broader client opportunities.

                    • Qualifications

                      • Proven track record in developing and executing successful medical communication strategies.
                      • Highly collaborative, with a proactive approach and focused on delivering value to clients.
                      • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical product development, commercialization, and regulatory frameworks.
                      • Strategic thinking, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
                      • Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire diverse stakeholders internally and externally.
                      • A history of delivering measurable results in a clientfacing environment.
                      • Experience in digital and emerging communication platforms is highly desirable.

                          EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $184,000 to $235,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other jobrelated qualificationsskills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
