At Critical Care we develop tomorrow’s intensive care products and equipment, and we are in an intensive period of change and expansion. In this role you will be a key player within our R&D organization and have the possibility to take an active part in how we run product development, and in our ongoing agile change journey.
About this opportunity
We are developing the most advanced ventilators in the world. To continue this vision, we need a Program Manager who can drive the new technology development from concept to launch.
Why this role matters
- Deliver a future-proof, modular platform for new ventilation products.
- Build and guide a high-performing core team — aligning technical, operational, and business goals.
- Drive execution end-to-end — balancing innovation, regulatory demands, and speed-to-market.
- Make high-impact decisions daily — keeping priorities clear and momentum strong.
- Interface with senior leaders across R&D, Operations, Marketing, and QA/RA.
Your main responsibilities and tasks will be:
- Lead a groundbreaking development program through all phases: concept, architecture, design, verification, and launch.
- Secure scope, budget, timeline, and quality for the entire program portfolio.
- Coach and energize cross-functional teams (software, electronics, mechanics, clinical, regulatory, supply chain).
- Champion agile/lean practices, modern toolchains, and data-driven decision making.
- Manage internal and outsourced development partners, ensuring seamless collaboration.
- Report program status, risks, and mitigation plans to the Critical Care management team.
The position is based at our site in Solna but offers the flexibility to work from home when suitable. The role requires occasional international travel. You will be reporting to the Head of New Platform Development in Critical Care.
You will bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within Engineering
- 10+ years’ experience leading complex product-development programs (med-tech, automotive, or high-tech preferred).
- Strong leadership that unites cross-functional teams behind a bold vision.
- Deep technical know-how in embedded systems, software, electronics, and mechanics.
- Proven success managing both internal and external development partners.
- Hands-on experience with agile methodologies and modern product-development processes.
- Fluent English; Swedish (or willingness to learn) is an advantage.
- Exposure to regulated environments (ISO 13485 / FDA 21 CFR 820) is highly meritorious.
To succeed in this position, you need to be an entrepreneurial, decisive leader who thrives in fast-paced settings. You turn ambitious ideas into reality, inspire teams, and navigate obstacles to deliver cutting-edge products that save lives.
