An innovative and growing business that sources, produces, and distributes premium products to many independent delis and specialist grocery stores is expanding into the hospitality sector and internationally. Approximately 20 hours per week, and although working remotely, must be based in the Southern Suburbs, Cape Town for occasional meetings.

We imagine this role is best suited to someone who is currently working part-time but is looking for some extra hours to fill in the week. The priorities of this role are:
  • Oversee incoming orders and arrange dispatches through distribution partners.  
  • Maintain existing customer base while improving sales.
  • Occasionally approach new customers to grow base.
  • Assist in marketing activities including occasionally generating content.
  • The purpose of this role is to assist the sales manager in the operational aspect of sales – particularly invoicing and dispatch.  
Duties will include: 
  • Receiving orders and arranging their dispatch
  • Maintaining existing customer base
  • Increasing sales through existing customers, and securing new customers

Requirements

  • Ability to learn new platforms and apply processes, and set own targets and see tasks through to completion
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working independently, but also coordinating with a team remotely
  • Capable of fostering strong relationships with clients Self-motivated and proactive, with initiative and problem-solving capabilities

Minimum Requirements for the position are: 
  • Relevant Degree
  • Matric, with Mathematics HG
  • At least two years’ proven experience in marketing or sales in FMCG 
  • Driver’s license and own transport
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and Google services 
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • South African citizenship, or valid work permit

  • A history of team sport


Benefits

  • Work conditions: Remote work, but close to Westlake/Tokai - 20 hours per week. 



Salary: R96 - R100 per hour
