This is primarily a remote role, however, availability to go on-site across the Midwest market of Advocate Health on short notice is highly desired. Mon-Fri normal business hours. Advocate may approve remote workers who reside in the following registered states: AL, AK, AR, AZ, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, LA, KS, KY, ME, MI, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV, WY.

Pay Range

$28.05 - $42.10

Responsible for managing a database of master AutoCAD drawings, ensuring accuracy and linkage to the appropriate Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) system. Provides technical and administrative support for department CAD/CAFM software. Provides support for facility projects related to CAD and space management, maintaining master facility drawings. Maintains space allocation and equipment records for reporting.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Prepare architectural CAD files for use with the CAFM system and create space polylines per established guidelines and methodology.
  • Create room and equipment records within AutoCAD for use with the CAFM system, following company standards and conventions.
  • Develop standard layering conventions to be used by all third party design/consulting firms and maintain the CAD/CAFM standards manual.
  • Update drawings with as-built data.
  • Continue to develop the CAFM system, providing recommendations on improvements or added functionality.
  • Maintain and update the Facilities department’s web presence.
  • May train and develop other associates.
  • Works with commissioning vendors, architects and engineers to create Excel data transition documents.


Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • None Required.


Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.


Experience Required:

  • Typically requires 1 year of experience in computer aided drafting using AutoCAD or Revit software or equivalent technical training.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Advanced computer skills and database proficiency, along with knowledge of Archibus and AutoCAD/Revit.
  • Understanding of CAFM/IWMS systems and related applications (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of facilities functions, architectural industry best practices and CAD standards and relational database concepts.
  • Ability to understand relational database concepts and prepare, import and manipulate information in spreadsheets.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office products.
  • Possess strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to teach others and develop user documentation as necessary.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively to prioritize work and meet deadlines.


Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Position may require travel which may result in exposure to road and weather hazards.
  • Exposed to normal office environment.
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
