Sr. Director, Deals Operations

The Senior Director of Deal Operations is responsible for leading our commercial processes and supporting teams, with a strong emphasis on price book management and the quote-to-cash operations. This role will be pivotal in driving efficiency, governance, and scalable solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams within Finance, Sales, and Operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building high-performing teams, managing large-scale projects, and enhancing deal optimization and governance.

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing commercial operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence during transition to a new operating model.
• Price Book Management: maintain comprehensive price books, ensuring alignment with market trends, competitive positioning, and sustainable processes with channel partners.
• Quote-to-Cash Process: Oversee the end-to-end quote-to-cash process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance throughout the customer lifecycle. Specific background in a SaaS and/or subscription software is a bonus.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure alignment on pricing strategies, deal structures, and revenue recognition policies.
• Deal Desk Management: Lead the deal desk function to optimize complex deals, ensuring governance and alignment with company policies while maximizing profitability.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements within the quote-to-cash cycle, implementing best practices to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Project Management: Oversee large-scale projects within commercial operations, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgetary constraints, and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with senior leadership and key stakeholders regarding commercial operations performance, challenges, and strategic opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Proven experience in managing price books and the quote-to-cash process, with a strong understanding of revenue recognition principles.
• Experience with Salesforce Quoting and Revenue Lifecycle Management tools
• Strong knowledge of deal optimization, discounting strategies, and pricing governance.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Exceptional project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
