Job description

 

Position Title: Senior Database Administrator 

Entity: KBRA Holdings, LLC

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Remote (Remote only in CA, CO, DC, FL, IL, MD, NJ, MA, NY, PA, SC, TX, VA)

 

The role is responsible for modernizing, securing, and scaling our data platforms to support evolving business and application needs. The Database Engineer is focused on building resilient, automated systems while enabling cross-functional teams to implement scalable and secure data solutions across cloud and on-premise environments. Lead initiatives to modernize legacy database environments, implement automation, and design fault-tolerant systems in hybrid cloud infrastructures. The role requires working closely with engineering, security, and business stakeholders to build and maintain database environments that are performant, secure, and cost-effective. A key focus of this role will be driving a self-service model, empowering developers and engineers with tools and frameworks to independently interact with backend database systems across on-prem, cloud, and SaaS environments. Fully remote.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a relevant technical certification
  • 15 years of experience working in database administration, database engineering or related role.
  • 15 years of experience building & managing redundant, secured, and resilient Database environments, including On-Prem & Cloud.
  • 10 years of experience with Relational Databases including MS-SQL, MySQL, and Postgres.
  • 5 years of experience with No-SQL Databases including MongoDB, Cassandra, and Redis.
  • 5 years of experience working with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • 5 years of experience with database automation.
  • 3 years of experience working with infrastructure as code and tools similar to Terraform.
  • 3 years of experience working with scripting languages including Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
  • 3 years of experience working with Linux.
  • Must successfully complete a competency-based interview.
  • Fully remote

Expected salary range is $150,000.00 to $190,000/year.
