Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting an Electrical Engineer (3618).

Duration: This is a contract position supporting design of auxiliary systems for a Small Modular Reactor. Duration is not known at this time.

Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical distribution and control systems for auxiliary support: I&C power systems, emergency power backup (battery, diesel), lighting, communications.
  • Develop detailed electrical schematics and load analysis.
  • Ensure robust grounding, redundancy, and compliance with nucleargrade electrical standards.
  • Coordinate with civil and mechanical disciplines for integration.
    • Requirements

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.
      • 5+ years designing electrical systems for nuclear or critical infrastructure.
      • Experience with power distribution, UPS, emergency power, and I&C systems.
      • Knowledge of IEEE, NEC, and nucleargrade electrical design standards.
        • Preferred Qualifications:

          • Licensed Professional Engineer
            • Due to the nature of the government contract requirements andor clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
